Photography is my passion. It has been part of my life for a very long time. Like so many photographers, my first experience with picture taking as a child was with a simple little box camera, and during a summer in Michigan I photographed our family vacation – a photographer was born. I have those pictures tucked away somewhere, and occasionally I will come across them. They are actually quite awful, but at the time they were magic.
A few years later I graduated to a single lens reflex camera as an aid to help me with my painting. It didn’t take long for me to realize that the printed photograph would become my new canvas.
My professional career usually took front center but, I never lost touch with my passion for photography. During the last part of my career I was fortunate that photography played a small role, it helped me add visual content to the story behind my written technical reports.
